For this piece and I wanted to focus in on the textures of the surfaces that we become so familiar with due to the isolation. I was inspired by Andreas Gursky's Untitled 1 which shows the textures of something that Is so monotonous and familiar but to find comfort in it.

Theme 3: Window Worlds
25.04.20 I went out before the transition work was set and took photos of the rainbows that people had drawn and put up on their windows to show support of the NHS. I used this for the development of my final piece for my GCSE project, and it was lovely to see a sense of community come through from this horrible pandemic.

I went out again to take these photos, there has been a shift in the types of things in peoples windows, with the recent protests of the Black Lives Matter movement and have people have started to put messages in their windows to show solidarity and support for the movement.

Theme 4: Extreme Closeups
For this piece of work I was inspired by Alex Prager's series compulsion where she took photos of horrific occurrences and then the close up of peoples eyes in response to that image. I wanted to respond to this series in a way that most people can currently identify with. I captured the items that we use so frequently due to lockdown and that have therefore created a digest of.
